As a corporate social responsibility of hospital, the hospital provided free of cost orthopaedic surgeries camp at various rural district of country like Humla, Darchula, Bajura, Taplejung, Dhading etc. In order to provide treatment for those who cannot afford to come to the hospital, regular outreach health camps have been conducted in the remote areas of the country. Due to lack of transportation, poverty, illiteracy and lack of well-equipped health care facilities people of remote retain their health problem without getting treated, and are dependent on traditional healing system.
Because of free surgical health camp organized by the hospital, many orthopaedic trauma and chronic cases patient got benefited. Health care facilities available at rural areas of country are at primitive stage and they lack skilled and trained manpower. Hence with coordination and collaboration of local health care facilities and local organizations NOH has conducting many outreaches surgical camps through 31806 patients have been benefitted outpatient services and 1832 patient benefitted with free orthopaedic surgeries and treatment. We are committed to reach to those poor and needy people who are in desperate need of orthopaedic Surgical treatment in forth coming years providing free health care services at their station.
The comprehensive surgical camps have been done with partner organizations like the Handicap International, Med–Solution Foundation and others and sometimes the hospital takes its own initiative in bearing the finacial cost for the ventures.
